1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the services provided by Laora Schiegg, operating as an independent practitioner based in Switzerland. By engaging with these services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not proceed with booking or engaging any services.

2. Services

​

Laora Schiegg provides focused one-to-one and professional engagements addressing emotional responses, fears, anxiety responses, phobias, behavioral changes, performance-related difficulties, and other challenges associated with specific experiences, events, or circumstances.

Services may be provided remotely or in person, and may be delivered to individuals, groups, professionals, or organizations, depending on the nature and scope of the engagement.

Private Sessions

​

Private Sessions are focused interventions addressing a specific issue associated with an identifiable event or experience. The core intervention is typically designed to be completed within a single intensive session, with a follow-up provided where appropriate and as agreed.

Private Sessions are not designed to provide ongoing or open-ended therapeutic or personal support.

Professional Engagements

​

Professional Engagements are individually scoped engagements designed to address the particular requirements of a client, professional, organization, or situation.

Depending on the circumstances, a Professional Engagement may involve one or multiple sessions, in-person or remote work, individual or group sessions, follow-up work, preparation, consultation, travel, priority scheduling, or other arrangements agreed between the parties.

The scope, format, duration, and fees of each Professional Engagement will be determined individually prior to commencement.

Laora Schiegg reserves the right to decline, pause, or discontinue an engagement if the circumstances fall outside the services offered, if the requested work is not considered appropriate, or if another form of professional support would be more suitable.

The services are provided for personal development, wellbeing, performance, and related purposes and do not constitute medical treatment, psychological therapy, psychiatric care, or emergency or crisis care.

If a client is receiving medical, psychological, psychiatric, or other professional healthcare support, they are encouraged to continue that support where appropriate.

3. Booking and Payment

​

All engagements are initiated through direct inquiry, assessment, booking, or referral. No engagement is confirmed until the scope and terms of the engagement have been agreed between both parties, including by email or through the applicable booking process.

Full payment is required prior to or at the time of the session, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Accepted payment methods and any applicable fees will be communicated at the time of booking.

Prices are established at the time of agreement and will not be altered for confirmed engagements. Laora Schiegg reserves the right to change pricing for future engagements at any time.

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling

​

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before a scheduled session will be refunded in full or rescheduled at the client's preference.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled session are non-refundable, except where otherwise required by applicable law or where Laora Schiegg agrees to make an exception in exceptional circumstances.

Laora Schiegg reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a session where necessary. In such cases, the client will be offered a full refund or an alternative appointment.

Nothing in this section limits any cancellation, withdrawal, or other rights that may apply to a client under mandatory applicable law.

5. Confidentiality

Information shared by a client in connection with the services will be treated as confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties without the client's consent, except where disclosure is required or permitted by applicable law.

Reasonable measures are taken to protect the confidentiality and privacy of client communications and session-related information.

Clients are asked to respect the confidential and proprietary nature of the methods, materials, exercises, and other intellectual property provided during the engagement.

Nothing in this section prevents a client from discussing their own personal experiences or seeking independent professional advice.

6. Data and Privacy

Personal data collected in connection with an engagement may include contact details, booking information, payment information, and information voluntarily provided by the client in connection with the services.

Personal data is processed only for purposes such as responding to inquiries, assessing suitability, scheduling and delivering services, processing payments, communicating with clients, maintaining appropriate business records, and complying with legal obligations.

Personal data may be processed by service providers acting on behalf of Laora Schiegg where necessary to operate the website, manage appointments, process payments, communicate with clients, or otherwise provide the services. Such providers may process data in Switzerland or abroad, subject to applicable data protection requirements.

Personal data is not sold or used for unrelated marketing purposes without the appropriate legal basis or consent where required.

Clients may exercise applicable rights regarding their personal data, including rights of access, correction, or deletion, by contacting Laora Schiegg.

The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with applicable Swiss data protection law, including the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP), and, where applicable, the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

7. Limitation of Liability and Results

Services are provided in good faith and with reasonable professional care. However, individual results vary and no particular outcome, emotional response, behavioral change, or restoration of a previous capability or performance is guaranteed.

The services are not a substitute for medical, psychological, psychiatric, or other healthcare treatment.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Laora Schiegg shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from or relating to the services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

8. Intellectual Property

​

All methods, frameworks, materials, exercises, written content, and other proprietary content developed or used by Laora Schiegg remain the intellectual property of Laora Schiegg unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Clients receive permission to use materials provided to them solely for their own personal use in connection with the agreed services.

Clients may not reproduce, distribute, publish, commercially exploit, teach, license, or otherwise share proprietary methods or materials without prior written permission.

Nothing in this section restricts a client from discussing their own experiences or results.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

​

These Terms are governed by Swiss law, subject to any mandatory provisions of the law applicable to consumers in their country of residence.

Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts competent under applicable law.

10. Amendments

​

These Terms may be updated from time to time.

The version applicable to an engagement will generally be the version in effect at the time the engagement is confirmed, unless otherwise agreed or required by applicable law.

Updates to these Terms will apply to future engagements from the date of publication or notification.
