Terms and Conditions of Service
Laora Schiegg
Last updated: March 2026
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern all services provided by Laora Schiegg, operating as an independent practitioner based in Switzerland. By engaging with these services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not proceed with booking or engaging any services.
2. Services
Laora Schiegg offers short-term, focused emotional recovery sessions conducted on a one-to-one basis. Sessions are available in person or remotely, as agreed between both parties prior to engagement.
Work is limited to effects linked to a specific event and is not designed for:
Ongoing or long-term support
General anxiety not linked to a specific event
Work that explores broader personal history
Services are intended for personal development and wellbeing. They do not constitute medical treatment, psychological therapy, or psychiatric care. If you are currently receiving professional mental health support, you are encouraged to continue doing so alongside this work where relevant.
Laora Schiegg reserves the right to decline or discontinue an engagement at any point if the situation falls outside the defined scope of work.
3. Booking and Payment
All engagements are initiated through direct inquiry or referral. No booking is confirmed until both parties have agreed in writing (including by email) on the scope and terms of the engagement.
Full payment is required prior to or at the time of the session, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Accepted payment methods will be communicated at the time of booking.
Prices are set at the time of agreement and will not be altered for confirmed engagements. Laora Schiegg reserves the right to adjust pricing for future engagements at any time.
4. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before a scheduled session will be refunded in full or rescheduled at the client's preference.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the session are non-refundable, unless due to a documented medical emergency or circumstances beyond control (force majeure).
Laora Schiegg reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a session where necessary. In such cases, the client will be offered a full refund or an alternative appointment.
5. Confidentiality
All sessions and client information are handled with strict confidentiality. Information shared within sessions will not be disclosed to any third party without explicit written consent, except where required by applicable Swiss law.
Clients agree not to disclose session content, methodologies, or any proprietary information related to the work undertaken.
6. Data and Privacy
Any personal data collected in the course of an engagement — including contact details and session-related information — is held securely and used solely for the delivery of the agreed services.
Data is not shared with third parties, sold, or used for marketing purposes. Clients may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data at any time by contacting Laora Schiegg directly.
This practice operates in accordance with applicable Swiss data protection law (nDSG) and, where relevant, the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
7. Limitation of Liability
Services are provided in good faith and with professional care. However, no guarantee of specific outcomes is made or implied. Results vary between individuals and depend on a range of factors outside of Laora Schiegg’s control.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Laora Schiegg shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of these services. Total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific session giving rise to the claim.
8. Intellectual Property
All methods, materials, and content used or shared in the course of sessions remain the intellectual property of Laora Schiegg unless explicitly stated otherwise. Clients may not reproduce, distribute, or share session content or methodologies without prior written consent.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with Swiss law. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Switzerland.
10. Amendments
These Terms may be updated from time to time. The most current version will apply to all new engagements from the date of update. Continued engagement following any amendment constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
